John Cornwell

John Cornwell (* 1940 in London ) is an English journalist and book author. He is the brother of John le Carré .

life and work

After completing his studies at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, the London Sunday newspaper The Observer entrusted Cornwell with the management of its foreign editorial office.

He is the author of several books, including a biography of the English romantic Samuel Taylor Coleridge . In the German-speaking world, he was by his 1989 published book Like a thief in the night known, in which he compared conspiracy theories about the death of Pope John Paul I turned. His work on Pope Pius XII also attracted attention . , in which he, as the English title "Hitler's Pope" makes clear, Pius XII. referred to as "Hitler's Pope".

Cornwell also wrote several replies from a Christian point of view to Richard Dawkins .
