John Crewe (politician, 1709)

John Crewe ( 1709 - September 18, 1752 ) was a British politician.

Life

John Crewe was the eldest son of John Crewe and his wife Sarah (nee Price). He had three brothers, including Charles Crewe , and three sisters. Crewe attended Hart Hall in Oxford . On May 6, 1738, he married Elizabeth Shuttleworth, daughter of the MP Richard Shuttleworth . The marriage resulted in two sons, including John Crewe, 1st Baron Crewe , and four daughters.

Crewe represented the constituency of Cheshire in the House of Commons from 1734 until his death on September 18, 1752 . His younger brother Charles took over his vacant seat in the House of Commons in February 1753. Her father had already represented this constituency in the House of Commons.
