John Einar Åberg

John Einar Åberg (born March 11, 1908 in Stockholm , † January 16, 1999 ibid) was a Swedish writer and screenwriter .

Life

Åberg was born in Stockholm as the oldest of ten children. His father took over a company that soon went bankrupt. The family moved to Varberg , where John Einar Åberg grew up. He later returned to Stockholm, where he worked for many years as a bank clerk. Towards the end of his life he lived in Hägersten .

Åberg made his debut in 1942 with Vidar Odensson . In addition to prose, he also wrote poems that were published posthumously in Stenbrotten . Angels - are there any? , Which was also published in German translation in 1962, was made into a film in 1961. The summer comedy tells the love story of a young bank employee who manages to get information about interesting stock deals in an unusual way.
