John H. Anderson

John H. Anderson (born before 1974) is a production designer .

Life

Anderson began his film staff career in 1974 with television. In addition to his work as a set designer, he also occasionally worked as an assistant director . Until the beginning of the 1980s he worked mostly for television productions; from 1983 he worked exclusively for the film for almost two decades. For Peter Weir's crime film The Sole Witness he was nominated together with Stan Jolley for the 1986 Oscar in the category Best Production Design , but this year the award went to Out of Africa .

He subsequently worked on major Hollywood productions such as Mosquito Coast , Beverly Hills Cop II and The Dead Poets Club . In the early 2000s he returned to television, where he worked on the television series Gilmore Girls , among other things .
