John Halstead
John Halstead ( John Preston Halstead; born August 15, 1886 in Scranton , Pennsylvania , † November 15, 1951 in Buffalo ) was an American middle-distance runner .
At the Olympic Games in London in 1908, he was sixth over 800 m and eliminated over 1500 m in the run.
Starting for Cornell University , he became IC4A champion in the mile run in 1908 .
