John L. Bullion

John L. Bullion (born October 23, 1944 in Washington, DC ) is an American historian .

He grew up in Dallas and studied first at Stanford University ( BA 1966), then for a short time law at Harvard Law School and finally history at the University of Texas at Austin ( MA 1968, Ph.D. 1977). He began teaching in 1975 in the history department at Southwest Texas State University . In 1978 he moved to the University of Missouri-Columbia , where he still teaches today. Bullion's research focus is on the one hand on British and American history during the Seven Years' War and the American Revolution , and he has also emerged with work on Lyndon B. Johnson's presidency .
