Ivan Dimitrijević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Иван Димитријевић , born January 3, 1990 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian handball player who is mostly used on the left back .
The 1.98 m tall and 90 kg heavy right-handed player began his career in his hometown at RK Partizan Belgrade , where he played in the first team from 2008. In 2009 and 2011 he was able to win the Serbian championship. Internationally, he reached the third round of the 2008/09 EHF European Cup Winners' Cup with Partizan , the third round of the 2009/10 EHF Cup , the semi-finals of the 2010/11 EHF Challenge Cup and the group stage of the 2011/12 EHF Champions League .
In February 2012 he signed with the German Bundesliga club VfL Gummersbach , but was used in the 3rd division after the summer break due to a lack of training . In September 2012, Dimitrijević was fired from VfL, against which the player filed a lawsuit. After a first quality appointment failed to reach an agreement, the contract, which ran until June 2013, was terminated by mutual agreement in February 2013. He then moved to Qatar. He then returned to Partizan in the summer of 2013. In September 2013 the Austrian Bundesliga team Bregenz Handball signed him . After his first season with Vorarlberg , his contract was not extended.
With the Serbian junior national team, Ivan Dimitrijević took part in the U-21 World Cup in Greece in 2011 and finished in 18th place.
