John Light

John Light (born September 28, 1974 in Birmingham ) is a British film, television and theater actor.

Light studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art . In his home country he was best known for his roles in modern and classical theater plays. He was twice the Ian Charleston Award of the Sunday Times nominated, which is awarded to young stage actor. In addition, he gained screen experience in various British television series and films, including in The Lion in Winter (2003) alongside Glenn Close and Patrick Stewart and in the film adaptation of North & South . He also played a leading role in the German television film Dresden (2006).

He got his first major movie role in Purpose in 2002 , followed by roles in Heights (2003) and Partition (2007).

He has been married to actress Neve Campbell since May 5, 2007 . In 2010, Neve Campbell announced the end of the marriage. He is the third cousin of the English poet Laurie Lee and director Jack Lee . His father, John Light Senior, is a retired principal and currently chairman of Gloucestershire Exiles .
