John Lindsay-Theimer

John Lindsay-Theimer (born March 2, 1884 as Johann Theimer in Lendorf (Drautal) in Carinthia , † May 9, 1952 in Zernsdorf , Kr. Königs Wusterhausen) was an Austrian - German composer of popular music .

Life

He was offered as Johann Theimer in Lendorf in Carinthian Drautal . He lived in Berlin in the 1920s and 1930s. From 1935 he lived in Zernsdorf, Kr. Königs Wusterhausen, where he died in 1952.

In 1914 his composition " Aisha " appeared on record under his stage name John Lindsay-Theimer , played by the Dávid Kozák orchestra . He composed numerous other atmospheric and successful pieces of popular music , most of which were published by Richard Birnbach Musikverlag Berlin, founded in 1911 .
