John Lipscomb
John Bailey Lipscomb (born July 25, 1950 in Arlington , Virginia ) is a retired Anglican Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the United States of America . He was the 4th Bishop of Southwest Florida from 1997 to 2007.
In June 1974 he was appointed deacon ordained and received in March 1975 his ordination . He was ordained bishop in 1995 by Edmond Lee Browning and James Malone Coleman and Rogers Sanders Harris . He married Marcie on December 28, 1968 and has two children. At the end of 2007 they joined the Roman Catholic Church . On December 2, 2009, he was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in Lutz by Archbishop of Miami John Favalora .
