John Lockwood Kipling
John Lockwood Kipling (born July 6, 1837 in Pickering , North Yorkshire ; died January 26, 1911 in Tisbury ) was an English architect , sculptor and illustrator .
Life
Kipling went to Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy School of Art in Mumbai in British India in 1865 . In 1875 he became director of the Mayo College of Arts in Lahore and stayed there until his retirement in 1893.
His son was the writer Rudyard Kipling .
