John Martin Scripps

John Martin , born as John Martin Scripps (born December 9, 1959 in Letchworth Garden City , Hertfordshire , England , † April 19, 1996 in Singapore ) was a British murderer .

Martin killed three tourists: Gerard Lowe in Singapore, Sheila and Darin Damude in Thailand . Allegedly, he is said to have killed three other people. He portrayed himself as a tourist during the acts. This earned him the nickname “the tourist from hell” in the British media. After the fact, he chopped up the corpses.

Scripps was arrested in Singapore and sentenced to death . The execution took place on April 19, 1996 at 6:00 am Singapore time in Changi Prison.
