John McEwen (athlete)
John McEwen (born March 5, 1974 ) is a retired American hammer thrower .
In 2002 he was sixth at the World Cup in Athletics in Madrid .
In 2003 he finished third in the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo , but was disqualified after tetrahydrogestrinone was discovered during his doping test at the US championships, where he came second . He was banned for two years because of this doping rule violation .
In 2001 and 2002 he was US indoor weight throwing champion .
