John Rogers Thomas

John Rogers Thomas (born March 26, 1830 in Wales , † April 5, 1896 in New York City ) was an American composer and singer.

Life

Thomas came to New York in 1846. There he joined the The Seguin Troupe of bassist Edward Seguin and his wife Anne Childes Seguin , for whom he wrote a successful operetta . He also composed numerous popular songs and church music, which, however, have not survived.
