John Ruocco
John Ruocco (born September 18, 1952 in New Haven , Connecticut ) is an American jazz clarinet and saxophonist.
Ruocco lives and works in the Netherlands , where he a. a. worked with Charles Loos , Bert Joris , Peter Hertmans , Richard Rousselet , Michel Herr and Myriam Alter and appeared as a guest of the Frank Vaganée Trio and the group Baseline . He is a member of the Philippe Aerts Trio and the Ruocco / Rassinfosse / Simtaine Trio ; he was also a long-time member of Peter Herbolzheimer's Rhythm Combination & Brass . Ruocco teaches at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel and the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag ; He also taught saxophone and ensemble playing from 1981 to 1989 at the Antwerp Jazz Studio and from 1980 to 2003 at the Summer Jazz School in Belgium. In 1983 he went on a tour of Zaire on behalf of the Belgian Ministry of Culture .
