Johnathan Jauquez Abram (born October 25, 1996 ) is an American Football Safety for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Mississippi State .

High school

Abram played football at East Marion High School in Columbia, Mississippi. There he played as safety and quarterback . In his senior year, he was named Conference's Defensive Player of the Year for Safety. Abram is a two-sport athlete and has also played for the baseball team three times.

college

Abram made a commitment in Georgia on November 1, 2014 . After his first semester in Georgia, Abram announced that he was leaving. The reasons for leaving were personal problems and the move from Defensive Coordinator Jeremy Pruitt to Alabama. After transferring to Jones County Junior College, Abram received another scholarship from Georgia four months after moving. On December 16, 2016, Abram announced that he would play for Mississippi State for the last two years. After his senior year leading the squad with 93 tackles , Abrams was named first team All-SEC by the media and second team by the coaches. Abram was also invited to the Senior Bowl 2019. There he played under San Francisco 49ers ' head coach Kyle Shanahan.

NFL

The Oakland Raiders selected Abram in the first round (27th pick) of the 2019 NFL Draft . The pick was acquired by the Dallas Cowboys in a deal that sent Amari Cooper to Dallas.
