Jon Heidenreich (born June 28, 1972 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American wrestler with German ancestry. He currently competes in independent leagues, but is known for his appearances on the World Wrestling Entertainment promotion . As part of the “ Road Warriorstag team , Heidenreich was temporarily WWE Tag Team Champion . Before his career in wrestling, Jon Heidenreich was a professional football player .

Career

Beginnings

Heidenreich had been a judoka since childhood , and received his first black belt at the age of twelve. In 1994 and 1995 Heidenreich played two seasons in the Canadian Football League for the Shreveport Pirates in the position of offensive lineman and then moved to the Arena Football League for the Texas Terror team . In 1996 Heidenreich played in the NFL Europe for the Frankfurt Galaxy team . Heidenreich had contracts with several teams in the National Football League , but has never played a game in the NFL, as he was always retired in the pre-season.

After the end of his football career and his first experience in a Californian doctorate, Heidenreich received a development contract with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2001, but was initially unable to convince there. Heidenreich moved to Japan in the new promotion "Pro Wrestling ZERO1-MAX". There he was allowed along with Nathan Jones Intercontinental Team Champions title of the American day National Wrestling Alliance secure . Heidenreich also joined the NWA and received the heavyweight title of the local Mid-Florida promotion there. In 2003 Heidenreich went back to the WWE.

WWE

After some appearances in the main show of the WWE Heidenreich was sent to the Ohio Valley Wrestling training league for further training until August 2004 . The doctorate developed a feud against the Undertaker for Heidenreich .

A little later, WWE changed Heidenreich's gimmick into a more likeable appearance. According to the storyline, he started a feud against the stable MNM ( John Morrison , Joey Mercury and Melina Perez ). Heidenreich then formed the new edition of the “Legion of Doom” tag team with Animal , which was originally formed by Laurinaitis and Michael Hegstrand . On July 24, 2005 they were allowed to take the tag team title from MNM, but had to give it back to MNM on October 28, 2005.

After discharge

Heidenreich's contract with WWE was terminated by mutual agreement on January 17, 2006, according to WWE's website. Since then, Heidenreich has appeared in independent wrestling promotions, often wearing the typical ring outfit of the Road Warriors. In 2006 he was twice awarded the title of the World Wrestling Council, which is popular in the Caribbean . He then went on to play for River City Wrestling, All-American Wrestling and Alabama Wrestling Federation, among others. Within his engagement in these organizations he was able to achieve numerous title wins.
