Jonas Dieterle

Jonas Dieterle (born August 26, 1845 in Schapbach ; † June 8, 1926 in Waldkirch im Breisgau ) was a German pastor and member of the Baden Estates Assembly .

Life

Dieterle was ordained a priest in 1870 and worked as a pastor in Dogern from 1881 to 1908 . He experienced the time of the Kulturkampf as a contemporary while serving as vicar in Bad Peterstal and Mannheim . Because of his experiences he began to become politically active. He joined the Center Party and became a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly . After the end of the Kulturkampf in 1875, Dieterle came to Dogern as a pastor, where he continued to be politically and socially involved. In December 1891 he founded the rural credit association to support farmers and traders in Dogern. His last position as pastor took him to Waldkirch im Breisgau.
