Jonas Eriksson (born August 15, 1969 in Mora ) is a former Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper who became German runner-up in 1997 with the Kassel Huskies .

Career

Eriksson began his career in his hometown at Mora IK , for whom he was active from 1987 to 1992 until he accepted a contract offer from Färjestad BK from the Elitserien . After he played three seasons in the highest Swedish ice hockey league, he moved back to his hometown for a year until he was then poached by the Kassel Huskies for the 1996/97 season .

With the Huskies, the goalie won the German runner-up in 1997 and was allowed to compete with Kassel in the European Hockey League the following year . After an unsuccessful year in 1998, the Swede switched to ETC Crimmitschau in the third highest German division, with which he played in the ice hockey league for the next few years .

Eriksson was still committed by the DEG Metro Stars from the DEL for the 2001/02 season , but only booked three games and ended his career after another season for EV Duisburg in the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga .
