Wiltrud Probst (born May 29, 1969 in Nuremberg ) is a former German tennis player .

Career

Probst won two singles titles on the WTA Tour . In 1990 she won the tournament in the New Zealand capital Wellington by beating Leila Mes'chi in the final . In 1992 she won the Belgian Open in Waregem against her compatriot Meike Babel in the final. She played her most successful Grand Slam tournament in 1990 when she reached the round of 16 at the French Open , in which she was number 10 in the world rankings , the Spanish Conchita Martínez .

In 1990 Probst played for Germany in the Federation Cup and in 1998 in its successor, the Fed Cup . She was used three times in doubles, all of her games were lost.
