Party and other political activities

On September 1, 2000, Jonas Gysin and Sacha Kunz founded the Nationally Oriented Swiss Party (PNOS) in Liestal . Both were previously members of the neo-Nazi organization Blood and Honor , but left it because of the founding of the party. Gysin was vice president of the party from its inception until June 2003. He was also the PNOS media spokesman for a while. Then he took over the office of party chairman. On August 21, 2005 he announced his resignation "for private reasons".

Gysin maintained contacts with almost all right-wing extremist groups in Switzerland, such as the Avalon community, to which several Holocaust deniers belong. On June 11, 2005, Gysin was to appear as a speaker at the neo-Nazi festival “ Festival of the Nations ” in Jena , Thuringia, organized by the NPD , together with other prominent European right-wing extremists. The festival is related to the formation of a “ European National Front ” (ENF), an association of several neo-fascist and nationalist parties and organizations in Europe founded in 2004. For unknown reasons, Gysin stayed away from the event.

Punish

Jonas Gysin was sentenced in September 2003 to a conditional prison term of 30 days. In the summer of 2001, he and Kunz beat up a minor who allegedly had molested Kunz's girlfriend. Kunz received a conditional prison sentence of 16 months and 15 days for assault.

On July 1, 2005, Gysin was also sentenced by the Aarau District Office together with three other party board members to fines between 300 and 500 francs for racial discrimination. The judgment states that the PNOS had publicly called for hatred and discrimination against people because of their race, ethnicity or religion and that it had "publicly disseminated ideologies aimed at the systematic degradation or defamation of members of a race, ethnic group or religion" . Gysin and a former board member were also convicted of adopting and publishing the 20-point party program. This includes a collective abuse of foreigners by denying them human rights and calling for the return of foreigners who are foreign to their culture. Gysin appealed against the judgment. On April 5, 2006 he was acquitted by the Schwyz district office of the allegations: "Participation in an illegal rally and multiple violation of the traffic regulations (on the occasion of the 2005 national holiday)".
