Jonas Thor Olsen (born January 3, 1978 in Nuuk ) is a Danish cross-country skier .

Career

Thor Olsen has participated in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski since 1998 . He ran his first World Cup race in October 2003 in Düsseldorf , which he finished with 74th place in the sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2003 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 58th in the 30 km mass start race and 16th in the relay. The 77th place over 15 km freestyle and the 51st place in the 50 km mass start race reached at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf . His best individual World Cup result to date was in Oslo in March 2007 with 44th place over 50 km classic. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo , he came in 69th place over 15 km freestyle. He finished the Tour de Ski 2007/08 and 2008/09 in 59th and 53rd place overall. His best placement at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 was 48th in the 50 km mass start race. In his only Olympic participation so far in 2010 he finished 76th in the 15 km freestyle and 48th place in the 50 km mass start race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , he achieved 78th place in the 15 km freestyle and 69th place in the 50 km mass start race.
