Jonas Wallerstedt

Jonas Wallerstedt (born March 18, 1978 in Linköping ) is a Swedish football player .

career

Wallerstedt began playing football at IK Östria Lambohov . He came to IFK Norrköping in 1995 through BK Kenty . Until the club's relegation from the Allsvenskan in 2002, he played for the club in the top Swedish division. In spring 2003 he moved to Torpedo Metallurg in the Premjer League at the start of the season , but returned to Sweden in the summer and signed a contract with the first division club GIF Sundsvall . In 2005 he was out almost the entire season due to a knee injury. In the 2006 season he moved to league rivals IFK Göteborg and signed a three-year contract valid until 2008. In his second season at the club he was Swedish champion.

Wallerstedt made his debut in the Swedish national team on November 27, 1999 , when the selection was 0-1 defeated by the South African national team . The following year he played in two more international matches. He had previously played twelve U21 selection games for Sweden.
