Jonathan Arnold

Jonathan Arnold (born December 3, 1741 in Providence , Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations , † February 1, 1793 ) was an American doctor and politician from New England . He served as a surgeon in the Continental Army and ran the Army Clinic at Providence. Arnold also pursued a political career. He represented Rhode Island as a delegate to the Continental Congress in 1782 and 1783 . In 1787 he moved to a farm in St. Johnsbury , Vermont , where he served as a judge .
