Jonathan Caruana (born July 24, 1986 ) is a Maltese football player.
Caruana started his career very successfully in 2003 with the Hibernians Paola in the Maltese Premier League . In the 2005/06 season he was loaned to FC Mosta at short notice . At the end of the 2008/09 season he won his first championship with his team. In 2010 he moved to Valletta FC , with whom he was able to win another five championships. In 2017 he was banned for four years for doping. After a year the ban was lifted and Caruana returned to Valletta FC. Since 2008, he has played 44 international matches for the Malta national team.
