Jonathan Benninghaus (until 2017 Jonathan Eisenkrätzer , born June 2, 1990 in Bad Segeberg ) is a German handball player .

Jonathan Benninghaus comes from the Gummersbach handball boarding school as a perspective player. First he played for the A-youth of VfL Gummersbach and later also for the second team. Before that, Benninghaus played up to the B-youth with the JSG Obernburg / Erlenbach. On November 11, 2008 Benninghaus received a professional contract from VfL Gummersbach. In summer 2012 he moved to league rivals TV Großwallstadt. There, his contract, which expired at the end of the 2012/13 season, was not extended. For the 2013/2014 season, Jonathan Benninghaus signed a contract with third division club TSV Bayer Dormagen . With Dormagen he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2014. In November 2017 it was announced that the contract, which expired at the end of the 2017/2018 season, would not be extended. A release was also given in the event of an early change. On November 30, 2017 Benninghaus signed a contract with the upper division HSG Refrath / Hand until the end of the 2017/2018 season .

Benninghaus was a member of the German national junior team.
