Jonathan Murray (* 1955 in Missouri ) is an American television producer .

Life

Murray attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School when he was a child . He graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism , University of Missouri , in Columbia .

Together with Mary-Ellis Bunim he founded the company Bunim / Murray Productions . You designed the television series The Real World for the television channel MTV . Bunim and Murray's company became a leader in the television genre of reality TV . Other programs in this genre have emerged over the years: Road Rules , Love Cruise , Making the Band , The Real World / Road Rules Challenge as well as The Real Cancun , Starting Over and The Simple Life program for the FOX television channel . The Bad Girls Club program was created for the television channel Oxygen . Murray lives with his longtime partner, Harvey Reese, with whom he is raising a son.
