Jonathan Sela
Jonathan Sela (born April 29, 1978 in Paris ) is a French cameraman .
Life
Sela grew up in Israel . From the age of 14 he worked in the film industry. At the age of 19 he went to the United States and studied at the AFI's film school in Los Angeles . He is married to the photographer Megan Schoenbachler.
Since the mid-1990s, Sela has been involved in various film productions in the field of lighting technology. Since 2001 he has worked as head cameraman, initially on short films and from 2004, starting with Soul Plane , on various feature films and music videos. He was also involved in various advertising films. His oeuvre encompasses around 30 productions, including a number of action films .
In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
