Jonathan Zebina (born July 19, 1978 in Paris , France ) is a former French football player . Zebina acts in the position of the defender and can play both in central defense and on the right side of defense.
Career
society
He began his professional career in 1996 at AS Cannes , after 27 professional appearances he moved to Cagliari Calcio in Italy in 1998 , for which he played 48 league games in two years.
In 2000, Zebina signed with AS Roma , where he developed into a regular on the right defensive side and won the Scudetto in his first season . When his coach Fabio Capello moved from Roma to Juventus Turin in 2004 , Zebina followed him and left Roma after 87 Serie A appearances. After a public dispute between Zebina and the club management of Juventus Turin - Zebina demanded a doubling of his previous salary of two million euros - his departure was meanwhile considered certain. Nevertheless, he stayed with Juve even after the forced relegation to Serie B , because of the involvement in the soccer scandal 2005/06 and managed with the team the direct promotion back to Serie A. Zebina was placed on the right side of the back four as a regular player.
Although he was very unpopular with the fans of Juventus and was often whistled, he extended his contract in June 2007 until 2011. In September 2007 he was banned for four games and fined about 15,000 euros after he had played Game against Cagliari Calcio had insulted and slapped a folder. The trigger was a yellow-red card that he had previously received. In the 2008/09 season , the Frenchman only made eight appearances at Juventus due to injury.

After just one year, Zebina moved back home, so that he signed a contract with Stade Brest in the summer of 2011 . Another year later he moved to FC Toulouse , from 2014 to 2015 he was under contract with AC Arles-Avignon .

At Juventus, Zebina was also recommended for the French national team , for which he played against Sweden on February 9, 2005 . However, it stayed with this one international match.
