Jones Kusi-Asare (born May 21, 1980 ) is a former Ghanaian-born Swedish football player .

career

Kusi-Asare came to Sweden from Ghana at the age of 16. The striker began his football career with the Vasalund / Essinge IF syndicate in a Stockholm suburb. In 1999 he made his debut for Djurgårdens IF in Allsvenskan . In the following years he was able to fight for a regular place. In the winter of 2001 he moved to the Grazer AK with whom he became the Austrian Cup winner in 2002. After a season and a half he moved to Turkey, where he went to Denizlispor . There he could not assert himself and returned to Sweden. Kusi-Asare signed a contract with Landskrona BoIS . With the club he played for two years in the Allsvenskan. Before the start of the 2005 season, he switched back to his first professional station. With DIF he was able to win the double of the championship and Svenska Cups . With twelve goals this season, he made a decisive contribution.

In early 2009, Kusi-Asare left Sweden and moved to Esbjerg fB in Denmark. Up until the summer of 2010 he only had nine short assignments there. The club loaned it to Aalborg BK for half a year . There he could not assert himself. He returned to Sweden in early 2011, where second division Assyriska Föreningen signed him. He ended his career in early 2012.

Kusi-Asare played once for the Swedish U21 national team in 2001. He has so far been denied further appointments to a national selection.
