Thyon at 2095  m above sea level M. is a district of the political municipality Vex on the western slope of the Val d'Hérémence in the district of Hérens in the canton of Valais .

The village is connected to the 4 Vallées ski area with the destinations La Tzoumaz , Nendaz , Verbier and Veysonnaz . Between Thyon and Veysonnaz there is, among other things, the Piste de l'Ours (analogously: bear slope ), on which World Cup races have often been held.

In this area the stations Les Collons, Thyon 2000 and Les Masses emerged one after the other . In the 1960s and 1970s, initially larger apartment houses, and later more and more individual chalets, were built on the former alpine meadows . In the ski area in the Thyon area, easy and intermediate slopes dominate. The panorama extends over the Matterhorn , Dent Blanche and Mont Blanc .

The station now has 80 residents and 7,000 guest beds.
