Val d'Hérémence

The Val d'Hérémence is a valley in the center of the canton of Valais on the south side of the Rhone . It is a side valley of the Val d'Hérens .

Seen upstream, the valley extends for 12 kilometers from Hérémence to the Grande Dixence / Lac des Dix dam . Above the same valley is called Val des Dix . The valley is traversed by the Dixence . To the north of Euseigne , the Dixence flows into the Borgne from the southwest . In the Val d'Hérémence are the earth pyramids of Euseigne .

The Val d'Hérémence has so far been spared from mass tourism. Nature is still almost intact. The flora and fauna is very diverse.

There is also a cross connection to the main road in Val d'Herens through this side valley, which branches off 4 km below the Dixence estuary in Vex (939 m).
