The Jones River is a river in the south of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river has its source about 2 km north of the settlement of Ellendale northeast of Mount Field National Park . From there it flows northeast and flows into the Meadowbank Lake and thus into the Derwent River .
