Miel Campioni
Marie Johannes Jacobus Campioni (born August 4, 1901 in Roermond , † January 4, 1962 in Amstelveen ; called "Joop" or "Miel" Campioni ) was a Dutch football player . He played for HVV Den Haag and was twice in the Dutch national team in 1921 .
The selection committee of the NVB called the right wing runner for the first time in the spring of 1921 to play against Switzerland in Amsterdam in the Oranje-Elftal . The debutant, not even 20 years old, was on the team alongside his more experienced club mates Dé and Boelie Kessler . The Dutch team won 2-0 with goals from Boelie Kessler and Wim Gupffert . Also in the next game on May 8, 1921, a 2-2 draw against Italy also in Amsterdam, Campioni was used; after that, however, his international career was over.
