Jordan Thomas Holmes (born May 8, 1997 in Sydney ) is an Australian football goalkeeper who came from the youth academy of the AFC Bournemouth .

Career

Jordan Holmes has played for Rockdale City Suns, Sydney United and the New South Wales Institute of Sport since his youth in Australia . In the summer of 2013, Holmes moved to the youth academy of the AFC Bournemouth in England. In the 2015/16 season he played for the U-21s and was in the squad of the professional team for the games in the League Cup against Liverpool and in the Premier League against Southampton . From November to December 2015 he was loaned out to Weymouth FC . In the further course of the season he was fourth goalkeeper behind Artur Boruc , Ryan Allsop and Adam Federici , but was used as captain in the U-23. In the 2016/17 season he was active in the U-21. From January to June 2017 he guarded the gate on loan from Eastbourne Borough . Back in Bournemouth's U-23 from summer 2017. In the 2018/19 season he became the third goalkeeper behind Asmir Begović and Artur Boruc. In January 2019, Holmes switched to the Scottish Premiership for FC St. Mirren for six months .

At the end of the 2018/19 season he was released from AFC Bournemouth. At the end of August 2019 he found a new sporting home with the English fifth division club Ebbsfleet United, initially for a month and then until the end of the 2019/20 season.
