José Antonio Rodríguez Romero (born July 4, 1992 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a Mexican football player on the position of goalkeeper .

career

Rodríguez Romero began his career in the youth division of Club Deportivo Guadalajara , in whose U-17 team he was first used on July 3, 2008. He received his first professional contract in 2011, but was loaned to the second division club Tiburones Rojos Veracruz in his first season as a professional .

During his time with the Tiburones Rojos, he won the soccer tournament with the Mexican U-23 national team in October 2011 as part of the Pan-American Games at their home Estadio Omnilife and on June 1, 2012 for the first time for Mexico the prestigious Toulon tournament . At the Olympic soccer tournament in 2012 , he was a member of the Mexican winning squad, but was not used.

Since the 2012/13 season Rodríguez has been in the squad of Club Deportivo Guadalajara and came for the Chivasi for the first time on April 5, 2013 in an away game at Jaguares de Chiapas , which was lost 3-2, in the Mexican Primera División .

Rodríguez has been his club's regular goalkeeper since the Clausura 2014 , although he temporarily lost this position in the Clausura 2015 to his predecessor Luis Ernesto Michel .
