José Bódalo
José Bódalo Zúffoli (born March 24, 1916 in Córdoba , Argentina , † July 24, 1985 in Madrid ) was a Spanish actor .
Life
Bódalo was born as the son of the actor couple Eugenia Zúffoli and José Bódalo , who also worked as a singer, in Argentina, where the couple was on tour. He began studying medicine at the University of Madrid, but after the Spanish Civil War went to Venezuela , where he earned his living as a speaker and football player for "Radio Caracas" .
In 1940 he first appeared as an actor; on a Latin American tour he played with his parents in “Madres frente a la guerra”. In 1947 he returned to Europe and continued his career in film. After Alhucemas began a successful career in over 120 film and later television productions; thereby he established himself as one of the more important Spanish actors. After playing the Mexican General Hugo in Sergio Corbucci's spaghetti western Django , he was cast in similar roles in other films of this genre in the following years. In the meantime, he pursued his theater career, with the “Teatro Nacional María Guerrero” since 1961, also successfully until his death.
