José Gutiérrez Fernández (* 1958 in El Salto , Jalisco ; † March 29, 2017 ibid), also known by the nickname El Pelón ( Spanish for " bald head "), was a Mexican football player who usually acted as a left full-back . He played for Club Deportivo Guadalajara since the late 1970s , with whom he won the Mexican championship in the 1986/87 season .

José Gutiérrez Fernández is also known as José Gutiérrez Jr .; because he is the son of the eponymous José Gutiérrez, who was also nicknamed "El Pelón". Father José Gutiérrez also played for Club Deportivo Guadalajara and was then under contract with city rivals Club Deportivo Oro .
