José Luis Abajo
José Luis Abajo Gómez (born June 22, 1978 in Madrid ) is a Spanish sword fencer .
Abajo won silver at the European Championships in Madeira in 2000 with the Degen team. At the 2006 World Cup , he won the silver medal in the team competition together with his teammates Ignacio Canto , Juan Castañeda and Eduardo Sepulveda Puerto . At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , he defeated the Hungarian Gábor Boczkó and won bronze. In 2009 José Luis Abajo also won a bronze medal in singles at the World Championships in Antalya . In 2014 he won silver with the team at the European Championships in Strasbourg .
