José Ribeaud

José Ribeaud (* 1935 in Coeuve , then canton Bern , now canton Jura , Switzerland ; † February 2, 2019 ) was a French-speaking Swiss journalist and editor-in-chief .

Life

Ribeaud came to the Téléjournal of the Télévision Suisse Romande as a French-speaking editor after various stations in his professional life . The stations were three years as a trade unionist and then seven years as a teacher in the Sahara , in Germany, Italy, England and Switzerland. From 1966 to 1990 he worked in Zurich , including from 1974 to 1982 as editor-in-chief. In 1990 he became editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper La Liberté in Friborg .

Ribeaud was retired in 1996 and, after staying in Madagascar, devoted himself to a radio station he founded, which both conveys education and is shaped by Christianity, Radio Haja . He also founded a school on the island that prepares students for future-oriented professions.

Ribeaud was married, had two children and had five grandchildren.
