José Ricardo Jiménez (born November 2, 1995 ) is a Mexican athlete who specializes in the 400-meter distance .

Athletic career

José Ricardo Jiménez gained his first international experience in 2012 at the CACAC U18 championships in San Salvador , where he won the gold medal in the 800 meter run in 1: 52.40 minutes. He then took part over 400 meters in the Junior World Championships in Barcelona , but retired there with 48.03 s in the first round. Two years later he won the silver medal over 800 meters at the CAC Junior Championships in Morelia in 1: 50.46 min, finished sixth over 400 meters in 47.86 s and reached the Mexican 4 x 400 meter Season in 3: 16.89 min fifth place. In 2019 he took part with the relay at the Summer Universiade in Naples and won there in 3: 02.89 min.
