José de Jesús Aceves (born February 9, 1953 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ), also known by the nickname El Güero (dt. The blonde ), is a former Mexican football player on the position of a striker .
career
"El Güero" Aceves joined his hometown club Atlas Guadalajara at the age of 15 and received a professional contract with the Rojinegros two years later , where he became the most successful goalscorer in the club's history with a total of 82 goals (in the league round and the Liguillas ) .
In 1976 he moved to league rivals America , with whom he won the CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 1977 and the Copa Interamericana in April 1978 . Two years later he moved to city rivals Atlante , where he also played for two years before returning to his hometown after a stopover at CD Tampico in the 1980/81 season, but this time initially under contract with the Tecos de la UAG .
1983 Aceves returned to his youth club Atlas and also played for the Tigres de la UANL , in whose ranks he let his active career end in the 1989/90 season.
In 1976 and 1977 Aceves completed a total of ten international appearances for the Mexican national team and scored the winning goal to make it 2-1 in a friendly against Peru on May 24, 1977 .
