Joséphine Jobert

Joséphine Jobert (born April 24, 1985 in Paris ) is a French actress and singer .

Jobert comes from an artistic family. Her mother, Véronique Rouveyrollis is a photographer, musician, actress and director, her father, Charles Jobert, is a cameraman. The actress and author Marlène Jobert is her aunt, the actresses Eva Green and Elsa Lunghini are her cousins. At the age of 12, her family moved to Montreal with her. In Canada she attended the École Stéphane Belugou drama school and the École de chant et de musique Coda music school . At the age of 20 she decided to return to France.

In France, she gained particular fame in 2008 with the role of Amel in the popular youth series Saint-Ex, nos années pension , when a song she sang on the show was in the French pop charts for 15 weeks. She appeared in three soundtrack albums.

She is best known to an international audience for her role as police investigator Florence Cassell in the British-French television series Death in Paradise , her first English-language role. Jobert has been an actress since 2009, her focus is on television series.
