Elsa Lunghini (born May 20, 1973 in Paris ), stage name Elsa, is a French singer and actress .

biography

Elsa Lunghini is the daughter of the actor, photographer and composer Georges Lunghini and the painter and sculptor Christiane Jobert .

In 1981, at the age of seven, Elsa got her first role in the film The Interrogation by Claude Miller . She played alongside Romy Schneider , Lino Ventura and Michel Serrault . She then made several films in a row. From 2010 she played regularly in French TV series.

In 1986 she had her first hit with the song T'en Va Pas . The song stayed in pole position for eight weeks and was the theme song for the film "La Femme De Ma Vie" . In 1988 Elsa's first album Elsa was released , which was produced by her father. In France it was extremely successful. The first single Jour De Neige reached number two in the charts, as did the song Quelque Chose Dans Mon Cœur . The duet Un Roman D'Amitié (Friend You Gave Me A Reason) , recorded with Glenn Medeiros , even made it to number one. The song, composed by Diane Warren , stayed at the top of the charts for six weeks and was also internationally successful. More singles followed: À la même heure dans deux ans and Jamais Nous from the double platinum album, all of which reached the top ten. Her second album Rien Que Pour Ça was released in 1990, but was less successful. The single of the same name made it into the top 20 of the French charts. The next two titles flopped. In the 1990s Elsa released two more albums, which could not build on the success of the 1980s.
