Josef A. Riemer

Josef A. Riemer (born March 21, 1950 in Voitsberg ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ), training manager and trainer. From 2010 to 2019 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

education and profession

After primary school, Riemer attended a secondary school and completed eight semesters at an evening middle school. He also attended advanced training courses in psychorhetorics, group dynamics and biopsychological behavioral seminars and did his military service between 1969 and 1970. He worked professionally as an insurance salesman and training manager and worked between 1967 and 2010 in the areas of marketing, organization and education, where he was involved in the creation and implementation of educational concepts. Since 1991 he has been offering the so-called "Riemer Seminars", where he founded and organized this training in the area of ​​management training, team training and sales and marketing seminars. In addition, Riemer is the author of six volumes of poetry.

politics

Riemer began his political career in 2005 as a member of the Kitzeck community council and was elected district party chairman of the FPÖ Leibnitz in 2006. Within the party, he also acts as regional party chairman of the FPÖ Styria and on October 21, 2010 succeeded the resigned member of the National Council Gerhard Kurzmann , where he took on the role of area spokesman for animal protection within the FPÖ parliamentary club . In 2010 he became a member of the Agriculture and Forestry Committee, the Human Rights Committee, the Health Committee, the Culture Committee and the Tourism Committee. In March 2019, Gerhard Hirschmann was elected as his successor as FPÖ district party leader in the Leibnitz district. After the National Council election in 2019 , Riemer resigned from the National Council.
