The FPÖ Parliament Club (also Freedom Parliament Club and Club of the Freedom Party ) is the club of the Freedom Party of Austria in the Austrian National Council .

The parliamentary club of the FPÖ brings together the members of the National Council, Federal Council and European Parliament . Norbert Nemeth has been the club director since 2006 . Previously, these included the later Minister of Justice Josef Moser from 1992 to 2003 and Günther Barnet from 2004 until the BZÖ split off . Günther Steinkellner was the club secretary from 1989 to 1991, and Mario Erschen from 1965 to 1984.

From 2017 the club chairman was Walter Rosenkranz , the managing club chairman was Johann Gudenus until May 18, 2019 , who resigned his political functions after the Ibiza affair and left the party. On May 27, 2019, Norbert Hofer was elected club chairman and Herbert Kickl was elected club chairman, Walter Rosenkranz was nominated as a candidate for the office of ombudsman and was subsequently elected by the National Council.

At the beginning of the XXVII. During the legislative period , the FPÖ elected Herbert Kickl as chairman of its parliamentary club on October 22, 2019. Norbert Hofer was nominated as a candidate for the office of Third President of the National Council and was subsequently elected by the National Council. The club chairman was Dagmar Belakowitsch , Susanne Fürst , Hannes Amesbauer , Erwin Angerer and Peter Wurm . The club presidium also includes Christian Hafenecker , Reinhard Bösch , Volker Reifenberger , Gerhard Kaniak and Axel Kassegger as well as Harald Vilimsky and Monika Mühlwerth . Gerhard Kaniak was appointed finance officer.
