Marlies Steiner-Wieser

Marlies Steiner-Wieser (born June 23, 1963 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and AMS employee. From 2013 to June 2018 she was a member of the Salzburg state parliament , from June 16, 2015 without a club membership. Since June 2018 she has been a member of the Federal Council delegated by the Salzburg state parliament .

education and profession

Steiner-Wieser attended primary and secondary school in Taxham between 1969 and 1977, before moving to the Bundesoberstufenrealgymnasium Josef-Preis-Allee in Salzburg in 1977. She passed her Matura here in 1982 and then completed a course at the Salzburg Commercial Academy from 1982 to 1983 . After graduating from the college, she worked as a clerk at the Salzburg State Labor Office from 1983 to 1985, then from 1985 to 1990 as a secretary for the Austrian Students' Union at the University of Innsbruck . From 1991 Steiner-Wieser worked as a commercial clerk at various companies in Tyrol and Salzburg, where she was on maternity leave from 1990 to 1991 and from 1993 to 1995. Since 2005 she has worked as a clerk at the Labor Market Service (AMS) Salzburg.

Politics and functions

Steiner-Wieser was elected FPÖ local group chairwoman for Taxham and Maxglan in 1998 and in the same year took over the function of a member of the district leadership of the FPÖ city of Salzburg. Since 2000 she has also been the deputy district chairman of the FPÖ Salzburg city. At the state level, Steiner-Wieser has also held the function of a member of the regional party executive of the FPÖ Salzburg since 2005, and is also a delegate to the federal party congress. From 1999 to 2004 she was a member of the City Council of Salzburg, from 2002 to 2004 a member of the College of the State School Council for Salzburg and between 1997 and 2004 a member of the College of the District School Council of the City of Salzburg. Steiner-Wieser was sworn in as a member of the Salzburg state parliament on June 19, 2013. Her political priorities are in the areas of employees, development cooperation, family and child care, women and equal treatment, youth, youth welfare, human rights and sport.

After the state elections in Salzburg in 2018 , she has been a member of the Federal Council sent by the Salzburg state parliament in the 16th legislative period since June 13, 2018 .

Private

Steiner-Wieser is the mother of two children and a passionate supporter of the Austria Salzburg football club.
