Philipp Schrangl

Philipp Schrangl (born March 14, 1985 in Linz , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and notary public . Schrangl has been a member of the Austrian National Council since October 2013 .

education and profession

Philipp Schrangl first attended the Europaschule Linz and the Kollegium Aloisianum high school . After graduation he knew from 2003 to 2004 the military service in the Armed Forces .

2004 Schrangl began studying law and political science at the University of Vienna , which he with the 2012 graduation of Magister iuris ended. After two months of study in the USA in 2012, Schrangl began his doctoral studies at the University of Linz . He has been working as a notary candidate in a notary's office since 2013.

Political career

In the year 2000, when he was 15, Schrangl joined the Rings Freiheitlicher Jugend (RFJ), the youth organization of the FPÖ. Since 2004 he has been a member of the Ring of Freedom Students (RFS). In 2009 he was elected to the national executive committee of his party.

In 2010, after the state and municipal council elections in Vienna in 2010 , in which the FPÖ recorded a significant increase in votes, Schrangl moved into the district council of Vienna's 18th district of Währing as one of five members . He held this office until he was sworn in as a member of the National Council after the 2013 National Council election .
