Alois Kainz (born May 22, 1964 in Allentsteig , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) and a member of the federal party leadership. He was a member of the National Council from December 20, 2017 to May 23, 2019, and has been a member again since July 1, 2019.

Life

After finishing elementary and secondary school in Allentsteig, Alois Kainz completed an apprenticeship as a body shop technician, and in 2001 he passed the master craftsman's examination. Since 1984 he has been in command of the shooting range at the Allentsteig military training area , where he is also the staff representative of the Freedom Army Members' Working Group (AFH).

From 2005 to 2010 he was active in the Pro Allentsteig citizens' list . After the municipal council election in 2010 he was elected to the FPÖ city council in Alltentsteig. Since 2013 he has been a member of the regional party executive of the FPÖ Lower Austria and a member of the FPÖ federal party leadership, since 2014 he has been the district party chairman of the FPÖ in the Zwettl district . In the 2015 municipal council election he ran for the FPÖ for the office of mayor.

In the 2017 National Council election , he ran for eleventh place in the Lower Austria electoral district . On December 20, 2017, he was sworn in as a member of the Austrian National Council . He followed Herbert Kickl after, the interior minister in the federal government short I was. In the XXVI.
