Rosa Ecker (born April 10, 1969 in Mitterkirchen im Machland ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ). Ecker was out of the state from October 2015 to October 2019 Upper Austria seconded member of the Austrian Federal Council , since October 23, 2019 she is Member of the National Council .

education and profession

Rosa Ecker grew up in the Upper Austrian market town of Saxen , where she attended elementary school from 1975 to 1979 and secondary school from 1979 to 1983. She then graduated from the commercial academy in Perg . From 1989 she was employed as a secretary at the Altzinger company. In 1991 she switched to invoicing and export at another company. Finally, since 2006, Rosa Ecker has been a permanent foster mother at the Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents. In June 2018, she successfully completed the part-time Master’s degree in Management and Leadership for Women at the JKU Linz with the academic title Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Political career

The earliest political activity Ecker at the local level to the year 1997 back when they first for the Freedom Party as an alternate member of the municipal council in Saxen was chosen. In 2003, he was elected a full member of the municipal council. From 2009 to 2013 she was then a member of the municipal executive board of the municipality of Saxen and this is again after the local elections, 2015.

In terms of party politics, Rosa Ecker has been the regional chairwoman of the initiative Freedom Women in Upper Austria since 2012. After the state elections in Upper Austria in 2015 , in which the FPÖ recorded strong gains, Rosa Ecker was sent by the newly elected Upper Austrian state parliament to the Austrian Federal Council in Vienna. In the 2019 National Council election, Rosa Ecker ran as the top candidate for the FPÖ in the Mühlviertel regional constituency and was elected to the National Council. She was sworn in as a member of the National Council on October 23, 2019. Thomas Dim took over her mandate in the Federal Council .
